For awhile, Fil-Am mixed martial arts superstar Brandon “The Truth” Vera moonlighted as Richard Gutierrez’s fight instructor in Kapuso’s Kamandag. But he’s back at the Kapamilya network to promote the ABS-CBN subsidiary cable channels Maxx and Balls on Skycable. Brandon stands 6’3” and is currently fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as a heavyweight. He had his first professional mixed martial arts bout in 2002, winning the fight. In the year 2005, he won two bouts in one night. Since then, he has been winning competitions one after the other. He came here in 2006 to pitch himself to ABS-CBN.
To prepare for an upcoming UFC fight in London, he will be having an open training and photo op at Trinoma on April 9, Wednesday, at 3 p.m. Meet Brandon and win special UFC merchandise by attending this practice.
