Young Filipino-British singer Charlie Green is coming to the Philippines this week. Green got into the public eye as one of the semifinalists in the show "Britain's Got Talent" (BGT).
Green started to shine when he passed BGT's audition last April at Manchester Theatre.
During the audition, he sang Frank Sinatra's "Summer Wind" and wowed the British audience, including the unpredictable judge Simon Cowell. Cowell had even said that the young singer was "fantastic".
But in the semifinal round the judges decided to drop him out of the popular talent search.
Green will be arriving on Thursday, 5 a.m. and is set to guest on ABS-CBN shows like Pinoy Dream Academy's "Uberture," weekly variety show "ASAP '08," daily noontime show "Wowowee," entertainment show "The Buzz," daily morning show "Boy & Kris" and Megastar Sharon Cuneta's show "Sharon."
Charlie's mother, Cecilia Surmargo, hails from one of the biggest provinces in the Philippines -- Cebu.-ABS-CBN NEWS
