Singer-songwriter Ely Buendia and Eraserheads frontman was rushed to the hospital Saturday night around 10 pm, in the middle of the long- awaited Eraserheads reunion concert.
Unconfirmed reports say Buendia suffered a heart attack.
The concert held at the Bonifacio Global City open field was cut short as a result.
Buendia's announced during the concert that the Eraserheads' frontman "is in a lot of physical and emotional stress lately."
On August 28, Buendia's mother passed away due to cardiac arrest. The Eraserheads vocalist decided to push through with the concert anyway.
Buendia himself had a previous heart attack in January 2007.
The Eraserheads reunion concert became controversial after its first sponsor, cigarette-maker Philip Morris, was accused of violating Philippine laws prohibiting tobacco companies from sponsoring concerts and other promotional events.
The Eraserheads was the most successful Filipino band of the 1990 s. They broke up in 2002.
