The world's greatest bowler Rafael "Paeng" Nepomuceno received a P1-million bonus from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) for bagging his third Guinness record for the most number of career championships worldwide.
The 51 -year-old Nepomuceno, who has held 118 world titles, received the cash gift from the PSC Wednesday afternoon.
The Guinness Book of World Records earlier recognized him for being the youngest champion in the World Cup of Bowlin. He first won it at age 19. He then won it four more times in three different decades. These records remain unbeaten.
He first won the title in Tehran, Iran on Nov. 19 , 1976 . The second came in Jakarta, Indonesia on Nov. 1 , 1980 . He also won in Le Mans, France on Nov. 8 , 1992 , and again in Belfast, Northern Ireland on Nov. 23 , 1996. -- With a report from Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News
