New seasons of 'Grey's Anatomy', 'Private Practice' on Studio 23 this October

America's popular shows Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice will soon grace Philippines' television screens as ABS-CBN's Studio 23 is set to air the show's newest seasons this October.
In an exclusive phone interview with abs- cbnNEWS.com, shows' executive producer Betsy Beers said that Filipino viewers will really love watching the new episodes of the shows that will feature a lot of medical and ethical problems.
"I think on the Private Practice you can expect that there are going to be a lot of conflicts at the practice."
"They are going to be doing a lot of medical and ethical issues this season. We did a few in the last season and we thought of that and we are really, really interested in pursuing, in some cases this season are very emotional and very filled with ethical issues for which there are no easy answer. You can also expect to see Dr. Addison Montgomery do more surgeries," the executive producer said.
Beers also revealed that for the new season of the Private Practice, a new great actor will be introduced.
"There's a guy that we are introducing his name is Kevin McKidd, he is a very, very well actor and he is wonderful and very good and he will be playing a very different kind of doctor on Grey's Anatomy," Beers said.
Beers said that the episodes will still focus on all the characters but they will be focusing on everybody in different ways.
Explosive cases
"In Grey's there's a lot of focus on Meredeth and Derek and how their relationship gonna keep going.
"For the other characters everybody in Grey's Anatomy the stakes are very high, the doctors... they have to decide what kind of doctors they want to be and will be going through some special trainings as well. So, this Grey's Anatomy is a a very high stake season with a lot of very, very inventive and explosive medical cases," Beers said.
Beers who has served as the executive producer for over sixty episodes of Grey's Anatomy since its debut in 2005 said that for the fifth season of Grey's Anatomy, the show will run for 23 to 24 episodes while they are ordered to produce 13 episodes for the second season of the Private Practice.
Beers being the executive producer of the popular shows said that contrary to what other people think that it is hard to produce medical shows like Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, he stressed that she is actually having a great time working for two great shows.
"It's actually very excitable because I love the show. It's certainly a lot of work, there's a lot of work. Grey's anatomy this 5th season, has been long enough, very, very special. We have very, very good people working for us on both shows. We don't feel at this point very much of a stress which is good. We have good people and the writers," Beers said.
Beers who is also a film producer said that she's also hoping that shows will be recognized and could get another award.
"We hope. You know we are thrilled and really excited if we get nominated for the work. We never ever take it for granted," she said.
Before the interview ended Beers invited Filipino viewers to watch her shows. She shared her excitement that Filipino viewers will also enjoy the newest seasons of the shows.
"I'm very very excited that you will be seeing Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy. I very very much want you to see both shows."
"These seasons are really so good, they are really, really good, you gonna want to watch it. They are really, really good," Beers ended.
Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice are Beers' only television credits since she worked mostly in film. She produced the movies "The Disappearance of Christina," "Witch Hunt," "200 Cigarettes," "Best Laid Plains," "Casanova" and "The Hoax."
She was also the executive producer for the films "Safe Passage," "Bad Dog" and Self Storage."
Private Practice 2 will be aired on Studio 23 this October 5 and will be aired every Sunday night while Grey's Anatomy will return on Studio 23 also in October.
