The Singing Bee is nominated as "Favorite TV Show" (Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Philippine Awards 2008)

The BEE mania continues. Last Saturday and Sunday, the whole country joined host Cesar Montano and the rest of the gang as "The Singing Bee," the number one primetime game show, started airing on its new weekend slot.
Viewers witnessed a bigger BEE experience with new and exciting games, longer airtime, and more prizes at stake.
"We definitely raised the bar with this new and improved 'The Singing Bee' as a way of thanking our Kapamilyas for making us the number one primetime game show,' said Montano.
The one hour show not only gave more fun and thrills but also introduced three new rounds-"To bee corrected," "Singing with the enemy," and "Beedeoke"- which surely made the viewers sing along and share the experience with the studio contestant right in their homes.
"The Singing Bee" has proven to be appealing not only to adult viewers, but also to young viewers. "The show has been nominated for the Favorite TV Show category of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards Philippines 2008," said Executive Producer Carla Burwell. "The program has become a good venue for family bonding, and we are more than happy to hear Kapamilyas sharing their own stories of how they anticipate watching the show with their husbands/wives and kids."
The show consistently leads the primetime race.
Three contestants from the first season already took home millions. This includes studio player Steno Padilla and celebrity players Rachel Alejandro and Aiza Seguerra, who won the biggest accumulated amount of P2.08 million.
After Megan Young took home P50,000and Jay Durias with P70,000 last week, celebrity players Cherry Pie Picache, Melanie Marquez, Manilyn Reynes, Bangs Garcia, Enchong Dee and Rafael Rosell battle it out for the million on Saturday (Oct 18), while Cogie Domingo, Jayson Gainza, DJ Durano, Kaye Abad, Giselle Sanchez, and Ina Raymundo sing their hearts out on Sunday (Oct 19).

Home viewers can also win P20,000 every weekend or P100,000in cash if the featured player wins P1 million in the Final Countdown.
