The run-up to the December 6 "Dream Match" between Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Oscar "Golden Boy" de la Hoya gets even hotter as HBO present "24/7" featuring the two contenders on November 16.
"We look forward to presenting the compelling storylines and characters that will make this edition of '24/7' provocative and engaging television. This fight has the entire boxing community talking about what will happen, and our mission is to get the casual sports fan emotionally involved with the principals," said HBO president Ross Greenburg.
The HBO special will showcase the respective careers of de la Hoya and Pacquiao with behind-the-scene access, interviews and their ongoing training for the welterweight super bout in Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Pacquiao (47-3-2, 35 KOs) is the reigning World Boxing Council lightweight champion. He will move up to the welterweight class after taking the crown from David Diaz in June.
De la Hoya (39-5, 30KOs), meanwhile, is a six-division, 10-time world champion. He is a former member of the US Olympic boxing team in the 1992 Barcelona Games.-abs-cbnNEWS.com
