Korina joins TFC launch in Japan

Korina Sanchez, one of the Philippines' seasoned broadcast journalists was in Tokyo recently for the ABS-CBN Japan press conference.
The conference was held to announce the multiple platforms of the company's banner product - The Filipino Channel (TFC).
Sanchez joined in the panel to attest to the efforts of the biggest network in the Philippines to expand the reach of Philippine news, information and entertainment and make these more accessible to Filipinos in Japan.
The event also allowed Sanchez to exchange notes with Filipino and Japanese media on the state of Filipinos in Japan and how ABS-CBN Japan strives to help Filipinos from the time they leave the Philippines up to the time they finally become settled in Japan.
Sanchez has been a 'Kapamilya' (a term which means family and is used to refer to ABS-CBN talents, employees and viewers) since 1987.
She is popularly known on TFC as the news anchor of the evening news, 'Bandila', and the host of the top-rating news magazine program, 'Rated K'.
Aside from being ABS-CBN's TV and radio news anchor, she has also been very active in making people more aware of the need for political and social change in her country, Philippines.
Sanchez will be going back to Tokyo and to other prefectures to engage with fellow Filipinos, find out how they are and verify if TFC has indeed helped them cope.
She is also set to meet with Filipino community leaders to find out how they look after the welfare of their constituents and how ABS-CBN has supported them in this endeavor.
Incidentally, the stories that Sanchez will be able to gather from her trip could form part of one of her episodes in 'Rated K'.
Filipinos all over the Japan will be able to watch Sanchez's program via TFC on cable, TFCNow in the worldwide web, TFCko on internet protocol television and TFC on WINS SkyPerfect's direct-to-home satellite service.
