"My Only U" hits P11 million on opening day

A young woman dying of a rare disease and a young landlord try to beat the odds by living life to the fullest and making the most of their time together here on earth.
Starring Vhong Navarro and Toni Gonzaga, My Only ü injects humor and love in what is otherwise a topic that many refuse to talk about: death. Winona (Toni) comes from a family whose members often pass away before reaching the age of 25. Her neighbor Bong (Vhong), who happens to manage the compound where she lives, is secretly in love with her but he couldn't find the courage to propose to her.
Just like in the 1972 hit romance-drama Love Story (starring Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw), Bong is confronted with the same dilemma: What would you do if the girl you love has only a few days to live? How much is he willing to love knowing that he will just lose her before long?
The latest 15th anniversary offering of Star Cinema, My Only ü, will have its regular screening in Guam until November 20 at the Micronesia Mall. Last October 29, My Only ü opened in Philippine cinemas nationwide and reached box-office sales amounting to P11 million, according to Star Cinema.
This romantic comedy is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, the same person who helmed the blockbuster hit A Very Special Love starring Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz.
