The management of SM City Baguio received a bomb threat Sunday evening but declined to inform employees and shoppers about the threat to avoid panic.
An ABS-CBN Regional Network Group report said SM security officials received information that a bomb had been placed inside the SM Supermart and Department Store at 9:30 p.m.
It said SM management declined to inform shoppers about the problem but instead waited for the mall to close before conducting a security sweep.
The report said a backpack was removed fromthe mall at 1:30 a.m. Monday but it was not confirmed if the bag contained a bomb.
SM management has yet to issue a statement about the incident.(ABS-CBN News)
