Brother of Black Eyed Peas' Apl de Ap killed in Pampanga

A brother of international performer Allan "APL D AP" Pineda of popular group Blackeyed Peas was killed at barangay Marisol in Angeles City, Pampanga early Tuesday morning, February 3. Reports said the victim, Joven Pineda, 21 with his girlfriend Elaine Torres, was eating inside their apartment when two unidentified men went down from a Fortuner and shot the victim at point-blank range. "Habang kumakain kami, may dalawang lalaking dumaan at lumampas sa amin. Matapos iyon ay bumalik din sila saka binaril si Joven," Torres said. She added, "Kung sino man kayo na gumawa ng ganito sa BF ko, sana mahuli na kayo." According to Inspector Wilfredo Paulo, police chief of Station 6 in Angeles City, the victom suffered a gun shot wound from a 9 millimeter weapon in his head and was declared dead on arrival. The police are now investigating possible angles including a love triangle. Pineda's girlfriend, Torres, mother of one, was once romantically involved with another man. Torres promptly dismissed the love triangle angle stressing that she and her ex-boyfriend peacefully parted ways. "In good terms kami nung dati kong naging kasintahan na tatay ng anak ko. Daddy pa nga ang tawag ng bata kay Joven... Maayos kami naghiwalay," she said. The remains of Joven Pineda were brought to barangay Sapang Bato in Angeles City.
