MANILA, Philippines – Lawyers of broadcaster Ted Failon and five of his household aides have filed counter affidavits regarding the obstruction of justice raps lodged against them by the Quezon City police.
Lawyer Alfred Molo, Failon’s legal counsel, maintained that his clients committed no crime.
"It's not a crime if an incident was not immediately reported to the police," Molo said in an ambush interview this afternoon.
The respondents' lawyers will be waiting for the reply of the Quezon City police on the counter affidavits filed before Assistant city prosecutor Mary Jean Pamitan.
Pamitan scheduled the next hearing next Friday.
"We are not expecting if we will submit a rejoinder," one of Failon's lawyers said. - (Philstar News Service, www.philstar.com)
