Filipino boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao made history again after defeating British pugilist Ricky Hatton in a devastating second round stoppage of their 12-round super-lightweight title match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada Saturday (Sunday in Manila).
Pacquiao floored the Hitman twice in the first round before ending the fight with a hard left to the jaw that sent Hatton sprawling to the canvass.
"I didn't realize it would be a short fight," he said, adding that he used the right hook to pressure Hatton.
The win is Pacquiao's 49th victory in 54fights and garnered him Hatton's International Boxing Organization 140-lb crown.
