Youth Choice Awards 2009

The National Youth Commission (NYC) has launched the Youth Choice Awards (YCA), an online poll for the most youth-friendly companies in the country.

The poll is part of the NYC's 14 years of "continuous efforts in research, policy formulation, and advocacy."

Youth Choice Awards is an online poll conducted among the enterprises, entities, and personalities based on the following categories:
1. Airlines
2. Telecommunication providers
3. Fast food companies
4. Clothing companies
5. TV Networks
6. Newspapers
7. Magazines
8. News programs
9. Male anchor
10. Female Anchor
11. Radio Station
12. Youth magazine

NYC Youth Choice Awards General Criteria
1. Entities must embrace values that encourage active youth participation
2. Respects youth individuality and promotes equality
3. Supports character building activities for the youth
4. Encourages volunteerism
Winning entities and news anchors will be revealed based on the result of the online voting which will run for three weeks (June 1-23, 2009). The one with the highest number of votes per category, will be the winner.

To vote in NYC's Youth Choice Awards you have to register and create an account.
Voters must be 15-30 years old.
Only one vote per category is allowed.
