Being a beauty queen is a childhood dream according to Wendy. “bata pa lang po ako, mahilig napo talaga ako magbihis, sumuot ng sapatos, tsaka pangarap ko napo talaga noon pa na koronahan habang pinapalakpakan ng tao.”

Wendy Lucas first taste the fame of wearing a crown when she was named Miss PASUC (Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges) 2008. It was her very first huge attainment in her pageant career. A year after she was sent to Korea for another competition which is the International Model of the Year and even her luck didn’t shine that time, she got more determined shoving her to represent the country in other competitions.

And last year, she was appointed (with the help of trainer John dela Vega) to be the Philippine-representative to the Miss Tourism Intercontinental in Malaysia, May 21, 2010 to be exact.

Reminiscing all of her experiences, surely she has an edge beyond other candidates.

Binibining Pilipinas 2011, the 48th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, will be held on April 10, 2011 Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines. Forty ladies will compete for three titles: Binibining Pilipinas-Universe, Binibining Pilipinas-International, and Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism Queen International. The Binibining Pilipinas-Universe winner will compete in Miss Universe 2011 in São Paulo, Brazil and Binibining Pilipinas-International will compete in Miss International 2011 in Chengdu, China.

The preliminary competition will take place on April 3, 2011, after the much awaited Parade of Beauties at the Araneta Center, Quezon City to be aired on ABS-CBN.
