BFAD: Toys and school supplies are being monitored

The Department of Health-Food and Drug Administration (DOH-FDA) has systems in place to ensure safety of toys, and school supplies like crayons and pencils categorized as household hazardous substances are likewise being monitored and regulated.

The toys shall be tested for mechanical and physical properties, flammability and migration of certain elements.

Manufacturers are required to secure a certificate of conformity for every shipment/freight/batch/lot of toys manufactured, imported and distributed in the Philippines.
