I am against this policy of many companies including Watsons Baguio Lower Ground Floor SM City Baguio. I am a regular employee of Watsons Personal Care Stores in Baguio City.
My latest ‘LBR’ was last June 14, 2011 because the customer insisted that the item was not included in her shopping bag.
I already said what I had to say and after almost 1 hour of explaining and confronting the customer, the management decided to give the item to the customer and it will be charged to me.
I respect how they conducted their investigation but it doesn’t mean that I agree with it.
Their investigation did not even prove anything. They charge me an amount totalling to 2,580.00 just because the customer insisted to get the item without any facts about the incident.
I believe the investigation is not based on hard facts or evidence, it is based on ‘haka-haka’, emotional feeling, unlogical thinking.
I still stand by my statement that the customer left the store with all items intact inside her shopping bag.
I am encouraging the management of Watsons to install CCTV cameras if you really care about us, your employees.
This incident can still happen, employees will be charged just because of unproven customer claims.
I can’t think of any reason why CCTV cameras are not implemented in any watsons store, para ba ipasa ang sisi at charges sa employees?
Charging employees for expired items is just fine, charging them for stolen, or shoplifted items is tolerable but charging them for missing items without proper investigation is a no-no. It is against my right, it is an abuse of authority, it is a violation!
