UP Baguio Launches SMART Infoboard

PLDT and Smart President and CEO Napoleon Nazareno (4^th from right) presents to University of the Philippines (UP) Baguio Vice Chancellor for Administration Dr. Bienvenido Marzan the ceremonial SIM at the launch of the UP Baguio Infoboard service.  UP Baguio is using Smart’s Infoboard, a web-based communication tool for sending and receiving information within the school community, allowing the school administration to promptly reach its students, faculty and other personnel via SMS.  With the Infoboard, UP Baguio may use any Internet-enabled computer to send important school announcements and advisories that students and other members of the school community will receive on their cellphone via SMS, wherever they are and at any time of the day  free of charge.  During the launch, Smart also distributed customized SIMS among the students.  Photo also shows (from right) Smart Sales and Business Development Senior Manager James Bernas and Group Head Perry Bayani and Chief Wireless Advisor Orlando Vea and UP Baguio University Registrar Prof. Jocelyn Rafanan and Director for Student Affairs Prof. Teofino Macabiog.
