Itchyworms promotes 'Self-Titled' album

One of the country's most popular Filipino rock bands, Itchyworms, is now busy promoting their newest album titled "Self-Titled."
"Gusto lang naming i-plug sa inyo itong aming bagong album 'Self-Titled' under Sony-BMG Records available salahat ng record bars sa Pilipinas," Itchyworms said in an interview.
The album according to the band is composed of 16 tracks which include songs like "Penge Naman Ako N'iyan," "Bugbog-Sarado," "Gusto Ko Lamang Sa Buhay," "Sino Ka Nga Ba?," "Nahuli Mo Na Ba Ako?", "Freak-Out, Baby," "Suplado Ka Pala Sa Personal," "Isang Al Frescong Takip-Silim Sa Cafe Francois," "Pataasan Nng Weewee," "Tuksyude! Tuksyude! Tuksyude!," "Steady Lang Tayo," "Awitin Para Sa Mga Nagmumuni-Muni," "Sana Maniwala Sa'Yo," "Yokonakitamakita," "Misis Fely Nimfa Ang Pangalan," and "Para Sa Pinakamatangkad Na Tao Sa Buong Mundo."
The group composed of Chino Singson (guitar) Jazz Nicolas (drums), Jugs Jugueta, Kelvin Yu (lead guitar) and Hadrian "Haji" Cruz (on bass) started as an independent band in 1996 and popularized songs like "Akin Ka Na Lang" and "Beer."
It was in 2005 when Itchyworms released "Noontime Show," album which gave them modest national success and industry recognition.
The album went on to become Album of the Year at the 2006 NU Rock Awards, with Nicolas winning Drummer of the Year.
The group also received nominations and awards from MYX Music Awards and the EMI Rock Award
The band also wrote and performed "Kabataang Pinoy", the theme song for the first season of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother First Teen Edition.-abs-cbnNEWS.com
