We are issuing this medical bulletin relating to the confinement of Mr. Jocelyn I. Bolante at St. Luke's Medical Center after receiving the patient's and his family's consent to release the information.
Mr. Bolante was admitted at around midnight of October 28, 2008. He was complaining of chest pain and general body weakness. It was noted that he has lost a considerable amount of weight. The patient also has a history of peptic ulcer disease, for which he has been taking maintenance medication.
On admission, his blood pressure was noted to be fluctuating. Some of the tests that we have already done are Electrocardiography, 2-D Echo, abdominal ultrasound, and other diagnostic tests. All the results of these tests so far are normal. However, the CT scan of the chest showed signs of atheromatous aorta and coronary arteries, which need to be further investigated.
This afternoon, he will undergo a stress test. Tomorrow, he is scheduled to undergo a gastroscopy exam to find out the status of his peptic ulcer disease.
His medical care plan will be based on results of further exams scheduled today and the next few days.
