PayPal is partnering with Save the Children charity to fundraise for the Haiti disaster. Save the Children has worked in Haiti since 1985, primarily in the capital city of Port-au-Prince and the Central Plateau region, providing health, education, protection and food security programs to vulnerable children. Save the Children’s Emergency Response Advisor is currently on the ground in Haiti and more experts are being deployed to be part of this response. STC’s first priorities are to address shelter, food, water, sanitation and protection needs of children. They already have a supply of nutritious ready-to-use food in Haiti, which needs no cooking or clean water, which will be used to help feed young children found to be at risk.

**You can help the earthquake victims with a donation to Save the Children’s Haiti Emergency Fund. PayPal is waiving the payment processing fees for donations to Save the Children for the next 30 days. Links to make donations to Save the Children (which accepts PayPal for donation payments) will be featured on various PayPal onsite placements, including the PayPal home page.
**Buy, sell and/or donate items via a dedicated landing page on eBay.com, with proceeds going to Save the Children, The American Red Cross, and other nonprofits involved in the relief effort.
**Donate to the Red Cross or Save the Children through Give@Checkout. For a limited time, when you purchase an item on eBay.com, you can donate to these charities during checkout.
**Early response from eBay Foundation includes a special gift-matching program for global eBay Inc. employees making charitable contributions to organizations providing rescue and relief efforts in Haiti.
**ALL organizations collecting for disaster relief in Haiti are eligible to receive fee waivers. Please send an e-mail to nonprofit@paypal.com for fee waiver consideration.

i have several relatives who were also vicitimized by the earthquake in Haiti. thank God that they were not seriously hurt. i hope and pray that Haiti would be able to recover soon from this disaster.
ReplyDeletesome of my friends who work in haiti were also victimized by that terrible earthquake. i was very thankful that they only suffered minor scratches.
